Who are Salesian Animators?

Salesian Animators is a program ran by the Salesian Association of Don Bosco (SADBA) since 2005. The program takes place over 2 school years, with 4 weekend meetings taking place over the place of one year. The aim of the program is to train and inspire young animators to become better people and to help them inspire others on their own journey of life. Animators should be between the ages of 16 to 21, although exceptions can be made. Animators are young people working and helping out at one of the many Salesian centers in the Czech Republic. The mission of the program is to deepen animators' knowledge of the word of God and the teachings of Don Bosco and to create links between Animators from different Salesian centers. There are 5 main goals for the program:

1. The systematic formation and education of Salesian animators.

2. The gaining of accredited knowledge to prepare young animators for volunteer service and the position of camp leader/planner.

3. The opportunity to create links between different animators from different Salesian centers and the exchange of experiences with the possibility of the creation of new projects based on the cooperation between animators and their respective Salesian centers.

4. The broadening of animators' horizons in a European and global context and the oppportunity for international cooperation.

5. The gaining of new knowledge and experience from one another and the advancement of their growth as animators.
